Distorted images, excessive softness, video glitches or stutters,
excessive dirt or scratches, poor contrast balance, excessive
grain, pixelization, motion artifacts. Sound:
Distracting attributes may include harsh, muddy, distorted or
broken up effect tracks, missing dialogue or combinations
thereof.
Fair quality. Image:
Attributes may include soft or grainy images not ideally suited
for large screen front projection presentations, but reducing the
image size may help. May appear fine on typically sized monitors. Sound: Nothing special, but okay. Usually
denotes a good mono presentation. No split surround effects to
speak of.
Average to Good
quality. Image: - no real reason to
avoid this title, especially if extras are included. Sound: Spare, if any, split surround
effects.
Very
good. Image: A truly satisfying
experience with no distractions on The BIG Screen. Sound: Subtle, but well-placed and
effective split surround effects.
State-of-the-art
reference quality. Image: Sure to
impress all who see it. Highly recommended. Sound: Aggressive use of all Dolby Digital 5.1
channels. Whiz-bang effects and/or thundering quakes of sonic
ecstasy! Now this is home theater!
