"10HT looks "dim" with PS3"
| |
My HT10 has 1000hrs on the original bulb, 90% in the low-output mode. Still looks great using component and my Directv HD receiver. HOWEVER, just hooked my PS3 up, and the picture looks really dim, and unevent compared to HDMI on my other TV. I don't know if it's just the size and resolution limit coming through, or if there is a problem. Even the text on the PS3 game menus looks a bit fuzzy, compared to other HD content. I plan on going through one of my setup discs to check the contrast etc, but just wonder if something may be going. Do the bulbs dim over time?? Thanks |

OK, so I used AVIA to reset the contrast, color etc etc. It help a little, but still not as crisp as my newer DLP rear-projection looks (of course it has HDMI). One the PS3 menu screen, the background simply looks blotchy and un-even, not a constant great. Again, it may just be the age of the HT10 showing through, but movies still look awesome. ANybody |
