   Jeff,

Just back from Vegas. The show was great. here's a tidbit.

By far, the most talked about and complimented PJ at the show was the 20-HD, beating out the Sharp 10000 by 5:1 SE had it set up in an open booth while everyone else excepting Runco (6000 Lumens!) had their's in controlled lighting situations.

Screen door was everywhere, although most DLPs exhibited much more muted examples, much like the 20-HD performs when slightly 'de-focused'. I was unimpressed, considering the prices.

In fact, the image was so good, someone creeped in and stole BOTH 20-HDs right out of SE's booth Saturdat night! Ain't dat a kick?

Maurice

PS. Let me know if someone is selling a 20-HD REAL cHeap.

Does unspeakable things in other people's homes.

I just purchased a 20-HD (before the theft) I have had it
set up for about 3 weeks...I can't say enough about it ! We have
5 channels in HD here in Canada with another 30 to be added within
the month. When I hooked up the HD receiver last week I thought I
was in Home theatre heaven ! It almost looks like 3-D.
I know I have made a couple of 20HD sales for Boxlite after friends
saw the theatre in action using a 104" screen and a Sony 1070 6.1
surround. Thanks Jeff for your imput allowing me to make an
informed decision on what projector to purchase! I view from about
20 feet and in order to see the screendoor I have to be about 5 feet
from the screen. Jeff : your website is a must for anyone who wants
to learn about home theatre...(and DVD's)

The best software I've seen through my SE HD-13, oddly enough was vhs, the digital variety - played on a JVC 300000U Hi-definition D-VHS deck. "U571" (the sub movie) is by far the sharpest thing I've ever seen in 1080i in my life, and I've seen some good hi-def. Not for the faint of budget at $30-$40/movie & $1000 for the deck. But worth seeing if you get the chance as it surpasses HDTV standards significantly. And heck...it's a movie.. - Matt
